About Us

Specialised International Freight (Pty) Ltd was established in August 1991 with the base account being handling Tea and Coffee from Zimbabwe through Durban Port.

Later the company handled citrus and frozen pork from Zimbabwe, in addition to beef and handcraft from Swaziland. We became an Agent for Central Freight Bureau of Tanzania issuing waiver certificates on their behalf.

We handled all Burundi Tea exports trucked down throughout Zambia and Zimbabwe when Tanzania closed its borders due to political upheaval in the Central African Region. We got involved in fresh fruit and vegetable exports mainly to Indian Ocean Islands and also transported frozen vegetables through Port Elizabeth mainly to Europe.

We have shipped plant flowers and bulbs to Europe and America. We are also very knowledgeable in chemicals having handled two of the world’s biggest chemical producers.

Over the years our industry relative coverage has widened, to include manufacturing, agriculture, retail, pharmaceutical and automotive. With the team being experienced with both air and ocean freight, LCL and FCL, breakbulk and containerised cargo. Simultaneously our customer base and geographic scope has grown.

We are pleased to have numerous Specialised International Freight teams members that have been part of the team for 15 years and more, which is testament to the emphasis that we place on the importance of our staff and their wellbeing.
